Numbers you can track

  • ✓10-digit booking and bill of lading numbers, with or without the OOLU prefix

OOCL container prefixes

OOLUOOCU

A container number is 4 letters and 7 digits. The letters show who owns the box, so a OOCL shipment can also travel in a leased container with a different prefix.

OOCL tracking questions

How do I track a OOCL container?

Enter the container number in the box above. Containers owned by OOCL usually start with OOLU, OOCU. Leased containers start with other letters and work too, as long as OOCL is carrying them.

Where do I find my OOCL booking or bill of lading number?

It is on the booking confirmation, the bill of lading and the arrival notice. If a forwarder booked the shipment, ask them for the carrier's number. Forwarder house bills (HBL) only exist in their system, so we cannot track them.

What will I see for my OOCL shipment?

The vessel and voyage, the ports of loading and discharge, and the departure and arrival dates for every leg, including transshipments. The data comes from OOCL's own tracking.

Is OOCL tracking free?

Yes, 2 lookups a day are free with no account. To track many shipments or connect your own systems, API plans start at $49 USD a month.
